Chamber presents the Great Elf Hunt

Reading, MA, December 3, 2014 – The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce presents the Great Elf Hunt – a fun new adventure to encourage children of all ages to buy local this holiday season. Approximately 20 Reading and North Reading businesses are participating.

“We are always looking for new ways to bring people into our businesses in Reading and North Reading,” said Chamber President Lisa DeLeo.  “This new program is designed to bring customers to our places of business during the holiday retail season, while having fun at the same time. It encourages dialogue between the business owner and customers and we hope new relationships will be formed and sustained.”

Simply stop by a business that displays a large poster of Elfvis Presley in their window and pick up a Great Elf Hunt card. While you do your holiday shopping, search for Elfvis who will be hidden somewhere in each store.

Business owners will hide Elfvis in different spots in their locations from December 1–24. When you find Elfvis, stop by the store register to get an official Elf Hunt stamp.  Once you have stamps from at least 12 businesses, drop your completed Elf Hunt Form at any participating business and you will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 VISA gift card.  The drawing will be held on January 7, 2015.
